Resellers: Make the most of GoodBarber to sell Classic Apps

As an agency, to successfully convince potential clients of why an app is a must, you’ll need to present them with some concrete examples. That's why we'll show you how GoodBarber's features can become selling points.

To make your mobile services more attractive, don't hesitate to create a portfolio of apps by categories, to illustrate each feature with a concrete scenario that the client can relate to.

Classic apps allow you to create no-code content apps for almost any client need: community apps, business apps or news apps. Your clients have ideas and content to distribute. So you can help them deliver them on the tool that end-users interact with the most: mobile.

Home page

The "Home" is the first page users see when they enter an app. Thanks to GoodBarber, you can make this page very graphic and playful. If you have designers in your team, they will be able to fully express their talent there. You can add content, but also links, banners, a newsletter subscription, or HTML code. The Home is used to show the identity of the app, but also to highlight specific content. The goal here is to create a "wow" effect with your clients. They must identify with this "Home", it's the digital showcase of their business. The added value of the home page for your client is that they will immediately see an interest to make it evolve quickly according to important events and to make their message impactful and directly readable by their users.
Types of apps: All types
GoodBarber offers 5 different navigation menus in which you can integrate over 120 sections. Flexibility is the keyword here. The navigation menu is the backbone of your app. This is where you can show your client all the available sections and what information they can make available to their clients. You should think about making an exhaustive list of the sections that the client wants. Then you can propose the best design solution. If you choose a TabBar (Menu at the bottom of the screen) for example, we advise you to choose short section titles so that they are not truncated. If you choose the Big Swipe (see opposite) on the contrary, it is preferable to put a significant number of sections with long titles or icons. Tip: Don't hesitate to use the "Menu" section to create sub-sections and give more flexibility to the architecture your client wants to set up. Trust our experience, the Menu section makes a "Wow" effect in every demo ;)

The blog allows you to manage all types of "text" content. The GoodBarber CMS (Content System Management ) is the backbone of our "Classic" offer. Articles created on the blog can be separated into multiple paragraphs and you can add videos, photos, and HTML content. But the CMS goes even further as it allows for advanced management of your content structure. Thanks to menus and submenus, content can be organized on multiple levels. Your clients will be impressed by the content management possibilities, the ability to link their articles and create more engaging content for their users through right the app.
Type of apps: Blog, magazines, Internal to company

A map can be used to locate a specific address or include an unlimited number of points, for example for a list of stores. Each point can have additional information, including photos, links, or even videos. Each point can also be used to generate a route for the user. A tool to be promoted to businesses, for example, to direct the client to a given establishment. A feature to promote also to tourism actors . Tip: If you want to make an app with business listings, it is better to use the Map than the Articles. Because, the Map doubles as a business listing with text and photos, but also as geolocation.
Types of apps: Tourist Guides, Cities, Shops...

Event Calendars

To display a calendar, upcoming events and  push notifications, it's the winning combination. Either pull content from a source you already have set up (i.e. Google Calendar, Facebook Calendar, etc.), or manually input events specific to your app users. With several different templates created specifically for event display to choose from, you have a lot of great options to provide users with, such as a link for directions, a button to buy tickets, sharing possibilities, and your contact info. Your clients will surely appreciate managing this section themselves . They will be able to create their own events and publish them quickly.
Types of apps: Events, Outings/Concerts, Tourism...

Audio & Video

Audio options include podcasts, CMS files, and live streaming. As far as videos, CMS files are also an option, in addition, to live streaming, YouTube, Vimeo, and DailyMotion integrations. Including audio and video aspects in an app is a perfect way to add some interactivity and even deliver content to users that can’t be physically present but don’t want to miss out.
Churches and radio stations find these features especially useful. Mobile users spend 4 hours a day on their smartphones. Video content consumption increased by 40% in 2020 (Source: AppAnnie). Your clients or leads who have sound&video content will be impressed by these features.
Types of apps: TV channels, VLogs, Blogs, Radios, Religion...

Forms are a multi-purpose tool. They can be used for conducting surveys, gathering contact information for mailing lists, receiving customer support requests, or even as an ordering platform. Form results can then be exported for further use and evaluation. Having a quick and easy channel of communication from user to owner is a crucial element of every successful business operation. Tip: the form can be very useful for public or technical services, especially for users to report an incident. If you insert an "address" field in the form, this field will automatically fill in the address where the user is located.
Types of apps: Information apps, Internal company apps, Public sector, administrations...

User Authentication

User authentication is what paves the way for all more advanced user features, such as user groups, push notification subscriptions, chat, and more. To provide a more personalized experience, allow users to log in and create their own profiles. This gives you the option to adjust the content in the app based on different user profiles, avoid sending irrelevant information and offers, and is the first step to creating a real community. User authentication also allows you to designate certain content to specific user groups. Your clients will be amazed by this option because they'll be able to directly access quality user information and thus better target their communication.
Types of apps: Information apps, internal company apps, social apps...

A chat feature allows your users to get to know each other—whether it’s for social purposes or for the purpose of exchanging opinions about your establishment, it’s a great way to get people engaged. Users can view each other based on a list template or a map template that displays who is closest to them. For security reasons, a blocking feature is also provided. The chat function can also serve as a customer service tool in which users can chat with the app owner to get answers, place orders, and more. it's also a great tool to build a community around your app.
Types of apps: Internal company apps, social apps...

Loyalty Cards

The simplest way to keep customers returning is to offer them rewards for their recurring business. Start off by choosing and customizing a unique card design . Point validation can be completed either through purchase, manual check-in, or social media sharing—a great way to leverage customer power in your marketing strategy. Finally, choose the gift for completing a loyalty card and its expiration.
Spur of the moment rewards (independent of loyalty card completion) can also be sent out to clients in situations such as their first visit if they have not visited for a certain amount of time, during happy hour, or based on the client's geographic location. If you have businesses in your target, the loyalty card is a major asset to prove to them the value of having an app.
Types of apps: Shops and retailers

Club Cards

Regulars deserve special privileges for their loyalty, and customers will be thrilled to be offered membership to an exclusive club card with three levels of lifetime value you get to define. This is a powerful incentive for maintaining secured clients and showing them your appreciation. In particular, your clients will appreciate the ability to customize the levels of the membership card.
Types of apps: Shops

The quickest way to get a boost in sales is through a special offer, often in the form of a coupon. All details of the offer can be defined, such as method of redemption, terms and dates of validity, number of available coupons, number of times a client can use a coupon, and more. To simplify the process maximally for the client, detailed store information (such as map information) can be included. As always, design can be customized and perfected to make the offer as attractive and effective as possible. This type of functionality is very appreciated by merchants. If they are part of your target, don't hesitate to put forward this feature.
Types of apps: Businesses and shops

Beacons & Geofences

Being able to deliver a message or offer to users at the right place and at the right time is crucial for increasing conversion rates. Geo alerts can be integrated into your offer, present them as an additional tool to boost sales. Beacons or Geofence , the contact with the client is made according to a given area, whether the client approaches it, lingers there or leaves it. To briefly differentiate the two uses, beacons are more appropriate for a restricted area, even a section of a store, while geofencing is more suitable for larger areas, even a city or a region. These advanced features will reinforce your image as a mobile expert with your clients. These features are major assets when it comes to convincing a client to own an app.
Types of apps: Shopping centers, tourist guides, administrations, museums...

Ad networks

It's possible to insert ads in the apps created with GoodBarber. There are 2 types of advertising services . External services (AdMob, Google Ad Manager, and Facebook) or internal advertising . The external services are natively integrated, but you'll have to create accounts for your clients for each service. Then, the external service takes care of displaying ads from their advertisers according to the content of your client's app. You, or your client, don't need to search for advertisers. And your client gets paid based on clicks on the ads. This option is interesting if the app has a large audience. Otherwise, it will be difficult to make significant revenue. The 2nd possibility is to create ads via GoodBarber's internal advertising network. In this case, you create directly the ads for your clients. You can take care of finding advertisers or not. This works well for apps with a good local presence. Even if the audience is not massive, your clients (or you) will be able to sell advertising. Tip: You can take advantage of this option to sell the service to your clients by marketing the offer to them. The advantage of in-house marketing is that you have full control over the visuals and you charge the advertisers what you want. This is an additional service you can charge to your clients.
Types of apps: News blogs, Specialized blogs, Local newspaper apps, Tourist guides...

Push notifications

Push notifications are really the added value of apps . The goal here is to send a notification directly on the smartphone (or computer thanks to the PWA) to the audience of your clients. These notifications have the advantage of not being spam, because the client agrees to receive them. They can even configure the format and sounds of the notifications from the settings of their smartphone. The click rate of a notification is 7 times higher than an email (Source: Retaildive). Your clients will be very sensitive to these app-only features. They will be able to communicate important information at any time and in a targeted way. Indeed, with GoodBarber, you can target pushes by platform and user groups. You can also use scheduled pushes that are triggered by a given event in the app (publication of an article for example). Tip: as a marketing specialist, you can manage push campaigns for your clients and sell this service as an additional service.
Types of apps: All... (Everyone wants to send pushes to their audience!!)

Attention, this is an option for developers only! As a reseller, we know that some of you have "devs" in your team. If you didn't find what you were looking for in the wide range of Classic Apps features, you can always use the GoodBarber Plugin module. This requires HTML5 and Javascript skills. The plugin will appear as a new section in the navigation menu of the app. A plugin must contain different types of files: an index.html file, HTML files, and "resource" files (CSS style sheets, JS libraries...). If your clients have specific requests you can explore this option to try to fit perfectly their needs.
Types of apps:: News apps, internal company apps, social apps...
